Nativity Scene

Inspired by Amy's efforts, on Wednesday my work room forwent their break to construct a nativity scene from materials available in the office.

The entire office contributed - both in products and effort. Rowena's Sunday school knowledge was key to ensuring all elements were represented.

The major players are:

Santa on a desk-calendar sleigh, being led by two body-shimmer reindeer.
A Santa toy with wings as Gabriel
My stress toy as the star
Teddy bears as Mary, Joseph and 2 of the wise men
An orange ostrich pen as a wise man
Monica as baby Jesus
A variety of barnyard animals, including a frog/toad, ducks and a pig
Shredded paper as hay
Whiteboard marker Sheppard's, with paper clip crocks
All set in a type 1 archive box with some blue paper covering reams of
printer paper for sky.

There's something quintessentially Australian about turning our
politician's sermons and wishes about Christmas into satire. Maybe
that's the spirit of Christmas.
